First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study aims to make diagnosing primary aldosteronism—a condition causing high blood pressure due to hormone overproduction—easier and less invasive. Researchers will test whether combining blood and urine tests with CT scans can accurately identify which patients need surgery, potentially replacing the need for complex vein sampling. The trial involves 120 adults with confirmed primary aldosteronism who are willing to undergo surgery if needed.
