Taping technique shows promise for flat-footed balance

NCT ID NCT07431450

First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looked at whether combining two types of foot tape (corrective dynamic taping and kinesio taping) could help people with excessive subtalar pronation (flat feet) improve their balance, agility, and weight transfer. Twenty adults aged 18–35 took part, with half receiving the tape and half as a control group. Researchers measured changes 45 minutes after applying the tape. The goal was to see if taping could offer a quick, non-invasive way to support foot function.
