First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested two types of nerve blocks (TAP and ESPB) against a standard painkiller (tramadol) for people with acute appendicitis in the emergency room. The goal was to see if these blocks could lower pain before surgery and reduce the need for strong opioids. 96 adults took part, and the results help doctors choose better pain control options.
