First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving a numbing injection on just one side of the belly or on both sides works better for pain and nausea after gallbladder removal surgery. About 82 adults having laparoscopic gallbladder surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either a one-sided or two-sided block. Researchers will track how long it takes before patients need extra pain medicine, how much pain medicine they use in the first 24 hours, and how often they feel sick or vomit.
