Can ancient poems bring modern joy to kids?
NCT ID NCT06057142
Summary
This small pilot study explored whether fun group activities centered on reciting ancient Chinese Tang poems could increase happiness and enjoyment for ethnic minority primary school students in Hong Kong. About 48 children, aged 6-12, participated in several playful recitation sessions with their parents present for support. Researchers measured if successfully learning the poems was linked to feeling happier and more connected to local culture.
