New pill aims to stop lung cancer relapse after surgery

Summary
This study tests whether the drug taletrectinib can prevent lung cancer from returning in people with a specific genetic marker (ROS1 fusion) after their tumor has been surgically removed. About 180 adults with stage IB to IIIA non-small cell lung cancer will receive either taletrectinib or a placebo daily for up to a year. The main goal is to see if the drug extends the time before the cancer comes back or death occurs.
