Experimental drug TAK-243 takes on tough blood cancers

Summary
This early-stage trial tests the safety and best dose of a drug called TAK-243 in people with acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndromes that have returned or not responded to treatment. The drug works by blocking enzymes cancer cells need to grow. About 42 adults will take part to find the right dose and watch for side effects.
