Scientists map DNA of rare cancer in search for new treatments

NCT ID NCT04821895

Summary

This study aims to understand the genetic makeup of a rare stomach cancer (GIST) in Taiwanese patients who do not have the most common genetic mutations. Researchers will analyze tumor samples from 50 patients to create a genetic profile and see how it relates to their health outcomes. The goal is to identify potential targets for future treatments, but this study does not provide any new therapy itself.
