Personalized heart procedure tested to better control irregular heartbeat
NCT ID NCT04702451
Summary
This study tested if a personalized heart ablation procedure works better than the standard approach for people with persistent atrial fibrillation (AFib). It involved 377 adults whose AFib symptoms weren't controlled by medication. Researchers compared the standard procedure, which treats specific areas of the heart, to a new, tailored approach that first maps a patient's unique heart signals.
