Personalized letters aim to close breast cancer screening gap

NCT ID NCT07472036

Summary

This study tested whether sending culturally and linguistically tailored reminder letters could encourage more women to get breast cancer screening mammograms. Researchers compared nearly 8,000 women in Belgium who had previously skipped screening—some received standard invitation letters while others received standard letters plus personalized reminders. The goal was to see if these tailored reminders could increase participation, particularly among women with lower socioeconomic status who often face barriers to healthcare access.
