First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested whether a simplified 4-week tai chi program could improve ankle function in 36 adults with chronic ankle instability. Participants did tai chi exercises and compared results to self-management. The goal was to see if tai chi could boost balance, muscle strength, and stability, and reduce the feeling of the ankle giving way.
