NCT ID NCT07403643
Summary
This study is testing a single-dose drug called tafenoquine as a potential cure for vivax malaria in children. It aims to completely eliminate the malaria parasite, including hidden forms in the liver that can cause relapses. The trial will involve 60 children in Papua New Guinea to see if the drug is safe, how it works in their bodies, and if it effectively prevents the disease from coming back.
