First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests two antiviral drugs, TAF and TDF, in pregnant women with chronic hepatitis B to see which is safer and more effective at preventing the virus from passing to their babies. About 200 women in early to mid-pregnancy will take one of the drugs daily until delivery. Researchers will monitor the babies for infections and birth defects, and track any side effects in the mothers.
