First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at a special stent that doctors shape themselves to treat large aneurysms in the chest and belly area. The goal is to see if this method is safer and works better than open surgery. About 80 people aged 50 and older with aneurysms at least 5.5 cm wide will take part. Success is measured by survival, major problems within 30 days, and whether the stent works well after 12 months.
