First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested a drug called TA-650 (similar to infliximab) in 14 children with moderate to severe Crohn's disease. The goal was to see if the drug could reduce disease activity and improve symptoms. Children received the drug by infusion at regular intervals over nearly a year. The study found that some children experienced a meaningful reduction in symptoms, but because Crohn's is a chronic condition, ongoing treatment is typically needed.
