First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tests a new treatment for T4 esophageal cancer, where the tumor has spread to nearby organs. Participants first receive chemotherapy for several cycles, then chemoradiation if the tumor shrinks enough. Researchers want to see if this approach improves response rates and survival while lowering the risk of a hole in the esophagus. About 22 adults aged 18-70 with this specific cancer type will take part.
