Fighting a fatal brain infection with donor immune cells

NCT ID NCT06990087

Summary

This study is testing a new treatment for Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy (PML), a severe and often fatal brain infection. Researchers are giving patients immune cells (T-cells) from healthy donors that are specially trained to fight the virus causing PML. The main goals are to see if the treatment is safe and if it helps patients survive longer and improve their neurological function and quality of life.
