Summary

This study will compare two ultrasound-guided methods for inserting a central venous catheter into the neck. One method uses a syringe to confirm the needle is in the vein, while the other skips the syringe and sends the guide wire directly. Researchers want to see which technique is faster, requires fewer needle sticks, and causes fewer complications. The study will include 90 adults aged 18–85 who need a central line during surgery.
