New artificial neck disc aims to replace spinal fusion surgery
NCT ID NCT04469231
Summary
This study compares a new artificial disc implant called the Synergy Disc to traditional spinal fusion surgery for people with chronic neck pain from degenerative disc disease. The goal is to see if the artificial disc is at least as safe and effective as fusion surgery while potentially preserving more neck movement. Researchers will follow 175 patients for at least two years after their surgery to measure pain relief, function, and complications.
