Fainting study: is overnight stay worth it for Low-Risk patients?

NCT ID NCT06472375

First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at people who come to the emergency room after fainting and are at low or medium risk for serious problems. Half will stay in the hospital for 24 hours with heart monitoring, and half will go home right away. The goal is to see if the longer stay helps find hidden heart issues and if it is worth the extra cost.
