First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at people who faint (syncope) and are at low or medium risk for serious heart problems. It compares two common approaches: sending them home right away or keeping them in the hospital for 24 hours with heart monitoring. The goal is to find out which approach is safer and more cost-effective. About 640 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups.
