NCT ID NCT07640217
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This Phase 2 trial tests an experimental injection called SYH2068 in 120 adults with high lipoprotein(a), a genetic risk factor for heart disease. Participants receive either the drug or a placebo to see if it safely lowers their Lp(a) levels over several months. The goal is to find a new way to manage this stubborn risk factor.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
SYH2068 injection
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option to lower high lipoprotein(a) levels, potentially reducing heart disease risk.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 2 trial with only 120 participants, so results may not confirm effectiveness or safety. The drug may not work better than placebo or could have side effects.
