Do the stitches matter? small study tests scar results for common cuts
NCT ID NCT05281666
Summary
This study aimed to see if using stitches that dissolve on their own leads to different healing results than stitches that need to be removed for hand and forearm cuts. It involved a small number of adults who came to the emergency room with these injuries. The main goal was to compare scar appearance, patient comfort, and complication rates between the two common stitch types.
