Can eating for the planet save your heart?
NCT ID NCT07189676
Summary
This study is testing whether two sustainable, plant-focused diets can improve heart and metabolic health compared to a person's usual diet. It involves 180 adults aged 45-70 who are already at risk for heart disease. Participants will follow either a flexible plant-based diet, a stricter vegetarian diet, or their normal eating habits for six months while researchers track changes in blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and body composition.
