NCT ID NCT07284602
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new drug, deupirfenidone, works better than the current standard treatment (pirfenidone) at slowing lung function decline in adults with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). About 1,100 participants will take either drug three times daily for up to a year, with follow-up visits to measure lung health and side effects. Neither participants nor doctors will know which drug is given. The goal is to find a more effective option for managing this progressive lung disease.
