New patch tested to stop Kids' surgical bleeding
NCT ID NCT03255174
Summary
This study tested the safety and effectiveness of a special patch called EVARREST® to help control mild or moderate bleeding during surgery in children. It involved 35 pediatric patients, from infants one month old to teenagers under 18, who were having open abdominal or chest surgery. Doctors applied the patch directly to the bleeding site during the operation to see how quickly and reliably it could stop the bleeding.
