New surgical patch tested to stop bleeding faster in operations
NCT ID NCT06664788
Summary
This study compares two medical products used during surgery to stop soft tissue bleeding. Researchers want to see if a new product called ETHIZIA works as well or better than the commonly used SURGICEL Original at controlling bleeding within 3 minutes. The study involves 108 patients undergoing various open surgeries where standard bleeding control methods aren't practical.
