Placental membrane tested to make surgery scars fade faster
NCT ID NCT07173621
Summary
This study is testing whether applying a special membrane made from human placental tissue (called AMNIOEFFECT) during thyroid or parathyroid surgery helps patients heal better. Researchers will compare it to standard care to see if it improves scar appearance, reduces pain, and helps with swallowing after the operation. About 334 adults having this type of neck surgery will participate.
