Doctors question need for risky scan before childhood tumor surgery

Summary
This study aims to understand if a special pre-surgery scan helps prevent spinal cord damage during operations to remove certain childhood chest tumors. Researchers will look back at the medical records of 150 children in France who had this surgery between 2005 and 2024. They will compare complication rates between patients who had the scan and those who did not to see if it makes a difference.
