Doctors test if lower pressure during keyhole surgery reduces headaches

NCT ID NCT07162922

Summary

This study looked at whether using lower air pressure to inflate the belly during common gallbladder removal surgery affects a marker for brain pressure. Researchers randomly assigned 76 patients to have surgery with either standard or lower belly pressure. They measured a nerve near the eye and tracked symptoms like headache and nausea afterward to see if the pressure made a difference.
