Doctors probe hidden brain pressure risk in common cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT07155109
Summary
This study aims to understand if using lower pressure to inflate the abdomen during keyhole gynecologic cancer surgery affects pressure inside the skull. Researchers will observe 100 female patients, measuring a nerve behind the eye with ultrasound to estimate brain pressure. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help make these surgeries safer by reducing risks like vision problems or other neurological complications.
