New surgery tackles debilitating reflux in gastric bypass patients
NCT ID NCT06621979
Summary
This study is testing a specific surgical procedure called fundoplication to control severe, medication-resistant acid reflux in people who have previously had gastric bypass surgery. The research aims to see if this follow-up surgery can effectively reduce reflux symptoms long-term. It involves about 17 adult patients who continue to struggle with disabling reflux despite their initial weight-loss surgery.
