Summary
This study tested whether a simple phone checklist could reduce last-minute cancellations for outpatient surgeries. Researchers called over 4,000 patients a few days before their scheduled surgery to review a list of items. The goal was to catch potential problems early, improve planning, and help more patients get their surgery as scheduled.
