Can lower pressure during surgery prevent dangerous throat swelling?

NCT ID NCT07021482

Summary

This study looked at whether the air pressure used during keyhole gallbladder surgery affects throat swelling after the operation. Researchers compared two pressure levels in 76 patients to see if lower pressure reduces swelling, which can make breathing difficult when the breathing tube is removed. They used ultrasound scans to measure throat tissue thickness before and after surgery.
