Pioneering surgery attempts to tackle 'Inoperable' pancreatic tumors
NCT ID NCT06132087
Summary
This small pilot study is exploring whether surgery can be performed safely and effectively on patients with advanced pancreatic cancer that was initially considered too risky to operate on. The approach involves giving chemotherapy first to try to shrink the tumor away from nearby blood vessels, making surgical removal possible. The main goal is to see if surgeons can completely remove the cancer with clear margins, which could help control the disease and potentially extend survival.
