Radioactive patch trial aims to stop scar regrowth

NCT ID NCT07413497

Summary

This study is observing if cutting out keloid scars and then applying a special radioactive patch (called 32P) is an effective way to treat them and prevent them from coming back. Researchers will follow 401 people for two years after their treatment to see how often the scars return and how satisfied patients are with the results. The goal is to see if this combined approach works as well as or better than other common treatments.
