Software platform aims to slash ER wait times by over 30%
NCT ID NCT04789902
Summary
This study is testing a new hospital management system called SurgeCon, which is designed to reduce overcrowding and long wait times in emergency departments. The system uses software and staff training to improve patient flow. It will be tested in four hospitals in Newfoundland and Labrador, involving data from all patients who visit their emergency rooms during the study period. A previous pilot test at one hospital showed wait times were reduced by about a third.
