First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study compared two types of anesthesia for forearm surgery in 66 trauma patients. One method (Bier's block) worked faster but wore off quickly, while the other (supraclavicular block) took longer to start but provided longer-lasting pain relief and greater comfort. The researchers concluded that the supraclavicular block is the better choice for these surgeries.
