Finding a new voice: can group support help after Life-Altering throat cancer surgery?
NCT ID NCT06077643
Summary
This study is testing whether group workshops can improve the quality of life for people who have had their larynx (voice box) completely removed to treat cancer. The surgery causes major life changes, including loss of normal speech, smell, and physical abilities. Researchers will compare quality of life scores between 50 patients who attend four support sessions and those who do not.
