Hospital program aims to break cycle of childhood head injuries

NCT ID NCT03704272

Summary

This study aimed to test a new program called SunBrite, designed to prevent repeat head injuries in very young children. It targeted families with children under 2 who came to the emergency department for a head injury not from a car crash. The program involved screening families, a supportive coaching session, and referrals to helpful services, hoping to reduce future trips to the hospital. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
