Ancient spice tested as natural remedy for painful mouth sores
NCT ID NCT07229469
Summary
This study tested whether a mouth rinse made from sumac, a natural plant extract, could help people with recurrent canker sores. It involved 38 adults with painful mouth ulcers to see if the rinse reduced pain and helped the sores heal faster. Researchers also checked blood markers to understand how sumac might reduce inflammation.
