First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This early-stage study is testing an investigational antibiotic combination (sulopenem etzadroxil plus probenecid) in 12 adolescents who are already receiving standard antibiotics for a bacterial infection. The main goal is to see if the drug is safe and tolerable in this age group, and to measure how the body absorbs, processes, and eliminates it. Participants will take a single dose and provide blood and urine samples over 12 hours.
