Summary
This pilot study aims to see if using a computer algorithm to predict suicide risk can help primary care doctors identify adults who may need extra mental health support. Researchers will compare how many patients are flagged and receive a safety plan before and after the tool is introduced. The study involves up to 500,000 adults at Kaiser Permanente Washington and runs from March 2025 to April 2026.
