New study aims to prevent suicide in High-Risk veterans after community care

Summary

This study tests whether a program called VA Brief Intervention and Contact (VA BIC) can lower suicide risk in Veterans after they leave a non-VA mental health treatment center. About 120 Veterans who have had recent suicidal thoughts will take part. The goal is to see if this approach helps prevent suicide in this high-risk group.
