Two-minute sweat test could reveal hidden cause of chronic pain

NCT ID NCT04927832

Summary

This study tested a new, non-invasive device called SUDOSCAN that takes just two minutes to check for damage to small nerves. Researchers used it on 139 adults with autoimmune diseases (like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis) or unexplained chronic pain to see how common this type of nerve damage is. The goal was to see if this quick test could help doctors find and monitor nerve problems earlier.
