Can early counseling ease the trauma for families of sudden death victims?
NCT ID NCT03320902
Summary
This study tested whether offering immediate counseling to close family members after a loved one's sudden death improves their mental health. Researchers compared families who were offered a special counseling session by the emergency medical team to families who received the usual care. They measured levels of depression, anxiety, and trauma to see if the counseling made a difference.
