New under-the-tongue pain drug may speed up post-surgery recovery

Summary

This study compares a new under-the-tongue painkiller (sublingual sufentanil) to standard oral morphine for managing pain after surgery. Researchers want to see if the new drug helps patients recover their health faster and better. About 1,150 adults having surgery will take part, and their recovery will be measured three days after the operation.
