Needle vs. IV: new shot could make breast cancer treatment easier

NCT ID NCT04024462

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to give two powerful breast cancer drugs (pertuzumab and trastuzumab) as a single shot under the skin instead of through an IV drip. It included 200 Chinese patients with HER2-positive early breast cancer. The goal was to see if the shot works as well and is as safe as the standard IV treatment.
