Searching for rare disease clues in kids with enlarged spleens

NCT ID NCT04845958

Summary

This study aimed to find out how often children with an enlarged spleen of unknown cause might have rare diseases like Gaucher disease. Researchers observed 60 children under 18 who had an enlarged spleen that couldn't be explained by common conditions. The goal was to gather information to help doctors better understand and identify these rare diseases in the future.
