Researchers probe link between sexual disorders and violence risk
NCT ID NCT05861752
Summary
This study aims to better understand paraphilic disorders (unusual sexual interests) and sexsomnia (sexual behaviors during sleep) by comparing people with these conditions to healthy volunteers. Researchers will look at factors like past violence, mental health, genetics, and life experiences to see how they relate to these conditions and treatment success. The goal is to gather knowledge to improve future care, not to test a new treatment.
