Scientists hunt for hidden clues to prevent pacemaker heart damage
NCT ID NCT03475498
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people develop heart weakness after getting a pacemaker. Researchers will follow 1,000 patients over a long period, looking closely at their heart tests (ECGs and echocardiograms) taken before and after the pacemaker is implanted. The goal is to find patterns that can predict who is at high risk for this complication, which could lead to better monitoring and care.
